“SALE”-ING THROUGH SUMMER show opens at the Prairie Palette on Friday, July 30th

“SALE-ING” Through Summer, the newest show to open at the Prairie Palette Gallery will feature original artwork and prints from your favorite local artists.  For the first time, this “ARTISTS’ INVENTORY REDUCTION EVENT” will offer gallery patrons the opportunity to purchase many interesting and exciting pieces at exceptionally affordable prices, so they will not last long.  This show will be ever changing, with new inventory that includes pastels, watercolor and acrylic paintings as well as woodcarving, photography, weaving and glass items.  New artwork will continually replace items as they are sold.  With the exception of selected Giclee prints, all artwork is original.  This “cash & carry” venue is completely different from the kind of exhibition usually seen at the Prairie Palette.

The show will open with a Lemonade and Cookie reception from 6-8 pm on Friday, July 30th and will run through Sunday, August 22nd.   Extended gallery hours for the remainder of the summer will be noon–4, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for the duration of the show.  Appointments for private showings may be arranged by contacting Kate Becker at 217-341-0311 or Mary Mies at 217-971-7431.

The Prairie Palette Gallery is the project of the PORTA Community Problem Solvers team and is part of an on-going project that focuses on developing and promoting the talents of local artists and artisans in Menard County.
