(Must plan to major in an engineering discipline)

GEORGE MANGIARACINA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP     4/15/2010

(Applicant must be planning to major in Accounting or Business and be in top 50% of class)

GENERAL ASSEMBLY SCHOLARSHIP-REPRESENTATIVE RICH BRAUER  4/16/10

Must be a resident of the 100th District, be accepted at a state university in Illinois, have evidence

of activity in public and civic affairs, and demonstrate relative need among the applicants.

CASS COUNTY BOARD CITIZEN-SCHOLAR PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP   4/23/2010

(Must reside in Cass County-rewards both academic achievement and community involvement)

PSI UPSILON AND SIGMA PHI EPSILON SCHOLARSHIPS     4/23/2010 & 9/20/2010

(Both for male students planning to attend the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign)

THIS LIST IN NOT ALL-INCLUSIVE.  THERE ARE MANY SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE THAT MAY NOT COME THROUGH THE GUIDANCE OFFICE.  ALSO, PLEASE CHECK WITH THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE OF THE SCHOOL YOU PLAN TO ATTEND.  MOST SCHOOLS HAVE INSTITUTION BASED SCHOLARSHIPS THAT YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR!!   

LOCAL PACKET(includes Beaty, Urish, Anderson, Washington, Brauer, Bell, Aden, Master’s, Colby, Hammerlink, Tallula American Legion, PORTA PTA, Tallula PTA, Kiwanis, Armstrong and Am. Legion) WILL BE AVAILABLE MARCH, 2010.

The American Legion publication NEED A LIFT? Is also available in the guidance office. It lists scholarships, grants and loans for which students may qualify.  NEED A LIFT? Contains extensive information on scholarships for veteran’s dependents.
