Midwest Central and Delavan claim titles in the 4th Annual PORTA Glory Days!

Midwest Central defeated Sangamon Valley, Sacred Heart Griffin and Fairbury Prairie Central to meet up in the championship game of the Open Age Tournament against last years defending champion Pittsfield.  Midwest Central placed four players in double figures and were led by Ryan Burks' 29 points as they defeated Pittsfield by a score of 79-66.

Pittsfield climbed back to the championship game despite having last year's scoring leader, Keenan Yelliott, out with a knee injury suffered last week.  Pittsfield overcame challenges from Marissa, PORTA #1 and Havana to play for the championship.  Joe Womble’s 22 points paced Pittsfield with Jordan Cawthon and Chris Critchelow contributed 11 points each.

Fairbury Prairie Central defeated Havana 105-67 to take 3rd place while Lewistown knocked off Williamsville 70-68 to take 5th place.  Carrollton who lost it's opening game to Williamsville fought through the loser's bracket with wins over Waverly, Marissa and North Greene to claim the consolation championship.

The five team 35> round robin tournament saw a repeat performance as Delavan went 4-0 and repeated as champion.  Chandlerville finished 2nd with their only loss being a 61-56 defeat to Delavan.  Winchester finished 2-2 to take 3rd place while Havana went 1-3 and Athens 0-4.
