Welcome to fourth grade. My classroom is shared by a few adults who are available to help students on a daily basis. Myself along with Mindy Christison, and Ami Carter share the classroom duties.
I am so excited to be working here at PORTA Central for the second year. I have spent 22 years previously working with junior high and high school students. I always enjoyed the junior high students and the challenges that we experienced. However, fourth graders have brought so many smiles into my life. I am really looking forward to working with the fourth graders again this year.
My family moved to Petersburg 13 years ago. All of my children have gone to the PORTA schools. My oldest daughter, Kate, is attending college in Carlinville at Blackburn College. My only son, DJ, is a senior in high school. My youngest daughter, Kathy, is a junior in high school. Having three teenagers means I am not at home very often. The best place to get hold of me is here at school, or by using my e-mail www.rrudd@porta202.org. I check e-mail at least once a day and will get back to you.
Hi,I am Mindy Christison and I am excited to work with your children this year. I live in Petersburg and this is my second year as a classroom aide. I have four children and three of them attend PORTA schools, and the youngest will soon.
Ami Carter is an individual aide in the fourth grade this year. She will be spending time with Mr. Kelly and Mrs. Rudd. Ami lives in Petersburg and has a son named Blake in fourth grade. She is expecting another child shortly.
