Students, PORTA will offer summer school. If you are in need of credit and interested in attending summer school, please pick up information in the high school office. Cost is $250 per 1/2 credit course and you may take one or two courses. Payment and registration is due by May 28th . Classes begin on June 3rd and run through July 26 . . . read more
As an informational piece, the PORTA Wind Turbine will be shut down on May 13 and 14 as it undergoes it's six month maintenance schedule. Twice a year the turbine recieves a Hydrolic oil change, inspection of turbine blades and general check of connections within the Tower to insure proper tension. read more
PORTA pool is an indoor, heated facility. The 6-lane, 25 yard competitive pool meets standards for IHSA, YMCA, and USS swimming and diving programs. The pool is also available for recreational use with a 3 1/2 foot shallow end and 12-foot deep end with diving board.
