Everyone is glad the ISAT Tests are completed!! All of the students should be proud, they worked very hard! I sent home conference slips for next week if I felt we needed to get together. If you did not receive one, I do not have concerns about your child. If I did not contact you but you have a concern, please jot a note in your child’s Planner and I will be happy to schedule a conference. We are still working on our Kid Pix presentations but are finishing them soon. On March 17th at 10:30 you can come into the computer room to view your child’s presentation. Let me know if you want to come in that day and I will schedule your child’s Kid Pix. Otherwise, I will schedule them for Thursday, March 18th. We are working on multiplication facts and will be until the end of the school year so please practice with your child. I know the weather has changed but we still have cool days! Hello Parents! Report cards will be coming home next Thursday with the students. Please review these carefully. If you have been checking the planner, graded papers coming home, and the progress report then none of the grades should be a surprise. I have sent home parent/teacher conference forms to the parents I feel that I need to meet with. Please let me know ASAP if you are able to attend the scheduled conference. If you didn’t receive a notice from me but would like to meet, please write a note in the planner! Our third quarter book reports are finished and ready to be presented!! The students will be presenting their Planet Kid Pix slide shows on Thursday, March 18th from 12:30 to 1:30 in our classroom. All parents are invited to attend! They have worked hard and the final projects are fabulous! We will be having our third quarter No Demerit Reward party on Tuesday. It is a swimming party at the PORTA Pool! Be on the lookout for the permission slip if your child has no demerits for the quarter. Students will need to bring a swimsuit and towel in a separate bag (not in the book bag). Wet towels and swimsuits will be sent home in this same bag. We will also have our March Choice Party that day. Unfortunately there are even less students able to participate this month because of the constant talking. Continue reading and practicing math facts! Have a great weekend!

Our no demerit party is next Tues. Only 12 out of 19 students get to go swimming; what a bummer!! If your child received a demerit for this quarter it is worth discussing. Impulsive behavior, poor attitude, non-stop talking, lying, and not following directions are all reasons some of us are not getting to do fun activities. If your child is going to swim, see the attached permission slip and return back to school by Tues.
Spring conferences are next week. I have attached conference times for those parents I would like to see. Please return these as soon as possible. If I have not contacted you then everything is going well here, but as usual, if you need to meet with me, drop me a line in your child's planner and I'll set up a time with you.
Next Wed. we are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. We'll be cooking potato soup, shamrock pudding and Leprechaun Punch. We'll measure and combine ingredients, follow directions on recipes, share and cooperate. Please see the attached items I will need your help in supplying.
Also March 17 at 1:30 the students will be presenting their kidpix space book report slideshows. Once again let me know if you will be attending. Each slideshow is about 2min. long.
Lastly: WE NEED SNACKS!!!!!!
