3rd Grade Garst Newsletter

Dear Parents,

I can’t believe this is my last letter home.  This school year has flown by!  I must say the old saying “Time flies when you are having fun” is completely true. I have had the opportunity to work with a wonderful bunch of kiddos!  Parents, you deserve a pat on the back as well! Thank you for all you have done for your child and myself! We have learned so many things this year, students and myself!  I love watching the students grow and mature—they are very different walking out of my room than when they first walked in.  I know this has been a difficult year for some but I appreciate all the hard work and support from the home front!  I promise it will make fourth grade a little easier!

The next few days will be super busy! Our No Demerit Party will be Monday afternoon at the park and the Track and Field Day is tomorrow afternoon.  We will be outside most of the day for both of those, so please help your child dress appropriately (tennis shoes are a must) and consider sending sunscreen to school!  Please join us for a picnic lunch at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow (parents need to bring their own lunch; parents and students need to bring their own drink). I will be sending things home every day—be looking for lots of fun things and help your child clean out their book bags every night!! On Monday, we dismiss at 2:00 and final report cards will be coming home that final day of school.

This has been such a wonderful group of kids! I am sad to see them move on to fourth grade!  But I wish them all the best of luck and know they are ready! Have a wonderful summer!  If by chance you have a bored child at any time, remind them they can do pages in their extension packets that have been coming home all year.  Please continue practicing multiplication and division facts and as always, READ, READ, READ!  Enjoy fourth grade!

Sincerely,

Miss Garst
