GENERAL ASSEMBLY SCHOLARSHIP-REPRESENTATIVE BRAUER 04/14/08
(Must be a resident of the 100th district, accepted as a full-time student at a state university,
present evidence of activity in public and civic affairs. Relative need among applicants is also
considered.) Ask Mrs. McMahan for an application.

CASS COUNTY BOARD CITIZEN SCHOLAR PROGRAM 04/18/08
(Applicant must reside in Cass County, be in the upper 20% of their high school class, and
have documented community service) Applications are available from Mrs. McMahan.

BETA SIGMA PHI SCHOLARSHIP 04/25/08
(Any girl graduating from a Menard County High School)
Applications on white table in guidance area.

EPILEPSY FOUNDATION OF GREATER CHICAGO POST SECONDARY SCHOLARSHIP 04/25/08
(For students with epilepsy who plan to further their education)

EXCELLENCE IN AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP 05/15/08
(Seniors pursuing careers in agriculture at either a two year or four year institution)

CENTRAL ILLINOIS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION 05/19/08
(Provides scholarships to income eligible individuals of high academic merit or potential.)
See Mrs. McMahan for a list of documents needed to apply for the scholarship.

THIS LIST IN NOT ALL-INCLUSIVE. THERE ARE MANY SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE THAT MAY NOT COME THROUGH THE GUIDANCE OFFICE. ALSO, PLEASE CHECK WITH THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE OF THE SCHOOL YOU PLAN TO ATTEND. MOST SCHOOLS HAVE INSTITUTION BASED SCHOLARSHIPS THAT YOU MAY QUALIFY FOR!!

The American Legion publication NEED A LIFT? Is also available in the guidance office. It lists scholarships, grants and loans for which students may qualify. NEED A LIFT? Contains extensive information on scholarships for veteran’s dependents.
