JILG Community Service

All JILG members are required to have 10 hours of community service each year.
For the 2006-07 school year, we are continuing to help with CIEDC food pantry and this year we are helping with Toys for Tots. Thirty of the JILG students helped deliver Yellow Book phone books to make money for the Toys program. We raised $300 dollars for the cause.
We have also begun an Adopt-a-Grandparent program with Menard Convalescent Center. Students go and visit with residents who do not get frequent visitors. So far, 9 students have taken time to visit with the elderly residents.
