Good Morning, I would like to share an update with our school communities on the state of the current wind turbine event.  The turbine brake system remains in a failed state and is a danger to anyone who comes too close to the site.  As such we ask that all public please refrain from the area at the Jr/Sr High.  Emergency Personnel and PORTA Staff will be on site until the malfunction is resolved, which will likely be Sunday Morning.  A lead technician was on site very early this morning assessing the turbine and is currently working on putting a team together to remedy the situation and will be ready when the conditions are right.  Unfortunately, it is to dangerous to enter the turbine in it's current state with High winds expected throughout the day. 

The area has been secured, and entrances are closed until further notice. EVERYONE IS ASKED TO STAY AWAY FROM THE AREA, fortunately the tower is located away from residences and public areas.  Again, we ask for the public to stay away from the site.
