PORTA Community Unit School District No. 202 Foundation
The PORTA Community Unit School District No. 202 Foundation is a community-based, not-for-profit [501(c)(3)], foundation designed to solicit, receive and disburse funds in support of the PORTA School District and all students who attend District 202.
Founded in 1985, the PORTA Community Unit School District No. 202 Foundation has raised and contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to help develop and create an exceptional educational experience for our students. We have been able to assist our students through generous donations, memorial gifts, and fundraising. The funds that are raised are used for enhancing educational opportunities and strengthening our district curriculum.
In addition, we oversee 10 scholarships awarded to graduating seniors from PORTA High School each year. Our largest fundraiser is the PORTA Foundation Dinner and Auction which has been held annually in April since 2012. The Dinner and Auction is a great experience for all of those who attend.
