GRANDPARENT LUNCH
PORTA Central wants to celebrate our Grandparents by inviting them for a free lunch.  Grandparent lunch forms were sent home last week and additional forms are available in the school office. The menu for that week is attached to the form.  Every child bringing a grandparent needs to return a form, even if there are 2 kids from the same family.   RSVPs are due back at school by March 13th.

PROOF OF SCHOOL DENTAL EXAMINATION
Dental exams are required for students who are currently in 6th grade. They are due no later than May 15th of the current school year but no more than 18 months prior to the May 15th deadline. The exam must be recorded on the Illinois Proof of School Dental Examination form.  If you have any questions, please call PORTA Central and ask for the nurse. Thank you.

SIX FLAGS READ TO SUCCEED PROGRAM
Six Flags administration has heard that some parents have been unable to register their own hours through the new parent portal. Parents may now email your completed hours to Mrs. Bell and she will register your student. She will respond to you and let you know if she was successful or needs more information. Mrs. Bell's email:  gbell@porta202.org   The due date is Monday, April 13th.

PROJECT SUPPLIES NEEDED

Mrs. Thomas is needing your help. She is saving empty Pringle cans and water bottle spout tops (the type you pull up to drink out of). If you have any of these items, please send them to school with your child.

ARMY UNIT ITEM COLLECTION
One of your fellow students has a parent who is in the military and is deployed overseas. We would like to collect items (like we did for the Santa for Soldiers program) to send to Carson's dad and the rest of the men and women in his Army unit. Please consider donating items for these brave men and women! There will be collection boxes outside the office, and we will collect through March 27th. Fruit snacks, granola bars, beef jerky, playing cards, etc. are all good things to donate. Thank you!!

COUNTRY CASINO NIGHT – FUNDRAISER FOR PETERSBURG PARKS

Town and Country Women’s Club is holding a fundraiser that will benefit the parks in Petersburg.  The event will be held at Roots on April 4th and the doors open @ 6:00p.m. Tickets are available by visiting tcwc.webnode.com or email tcwc1944@gmail.com.

Have a great weekend!!!
