History Club will have a meeting in advisory next Tuesday to go over the Pastry Puffin fundraiser for Land of Lincoln Honor Flights. Thank you!
The Music Booster's Club's Choice fundraiser pick-up will be this coming Tuesday (10/26) from 4:30 - 6:30PM at the Petersburg Elementary Gym. All orders must be picked up at this time.

Seniors: Lincoln Land Community College will be hosting the First Semester Program on their Springfield campus this spring instead of at Pleasant Plains. You will still be in class with high school seniors, but will attend on the Lincoln Land Campus. If you are interested in this program, please let me know right away so I can get you the information needed to register.
Students: Please remember at lunch if you put gum on your tray to throw it away before returning your tray. It causes major problems with the dish machine. Also when you are finished eating, please return your tray at that time, do not wait until the end of the lunch period. Thank you

High School Student Council will meet Thursday, October 21st during Advisory in the library with the Fannie Mae representative to kick off their upcoming fundraiser. Please let Mrs. Puckett know if you have a conflict.
Juniors that are planning to attend Prom must pay their dues. Prom dues are $75 if paid before February 28th, 2022 and go up to $100 after that. Dues can be paid to Mrs. Matheny or Mr. McMahan.
Edward Jones is having a coat drive during the month of October. New or gently used coats, hats, and gloves can be donated at the local Edward Jones building at 325 S. 6th St. Coats are available to families at the Edward Jones office or the local Give and Take Shop. Also, if your family would like to be considered for the Angel Tree, applications are due by October 29th. See the Student Services office for more information.
Seniors, completing the FAFSA(Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a graduation requirement in the state of Illinois. The application opens on Oct. 1, 2021. If you need help completing it, please contact Mrs. Taylor. Also, once you have completed the FAFSA, let Mrs. Taylor know so you can be marked complete for this requirement.
Students are reminded that cell phones are not allowed in the locker rooms or any of the restrooms. Phones can be confiscated if seen by a teacher. Thank you for your cooperation.
Reminder if you are a driver: If you drive to school and do not have your parking pass, you need to do this ASAP! We will begin checking for parking passes soon! Be sure they are in your car where we can see them!!
For any choir student interested in auditioning for the PORTA Show Choir we are practicing during Advisory. There is a sign up sheet on Mrs. Reid's door.
