Join your 1st or 2nd grade child for lunch!
We’d like to invite you to lunch! If you’d like to join your child for lunch at school (or maybe make it extra special by inviting a grandparent instead or a relative visiting from out of town), you may sign up to do so through the Sign Up Genius link below. You'll need the access code which can be found in the family newsletter. We have a limited number of dates from which to choose and are only offering Tuesdays and Thursdays through the first week of May. Three spots are available for each date. Each spot is for one adult to accompany one student. Be sure to sign up for the appropriate grade level.
What you need to do:
1. Sign up via the link below, and mark your calendar so you don't forget.
2. Decide if you'll be having school lunch or bringing your own. To reserve a school lunch, you must call the school before 9 a.m. the day of the visit and bring $3.75 cash with you to the cafeteria.
3. Decide if you'll join for recess, too, or just lunch and confirm the times below.
4. Remember that each spot is for one adult to accompany one student.
You may arrive in time to join your student at recess, and then accompany them to the cafeteria for lunch.
2nd grade: Recess begins at 10:55, and lunch is from 11:20-11:40.
1st grade: Recess begins at 11:20, and lunch is from 11:45-12:05.
5 Essentials Survey
We need your feedback! The “5 Essentials Survey” is administered in school districts throughout the state each year. Teachers, students (only 4th grade and up), and parents are all asked to participate in the survey in an effort to provide feedback to schools on indicators that impact school success. A letter with more information is included at the end of this newsletter after the lunch menu.
We will only receive feedback from parent surveys if at least 20% of parents participate. Please consider taking a few moments to complete this survey for us! It is open now through March 31, 2023. Thank you!
To take the survey please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/login/ and select the appropriate survey to begin.
